A Stylish Staircase Refresh with Cormar Carpets
A well-designed staircase sets the tone for the rest of the home, and this recent project demonstrates how the right flooring and finishing touches can create a practical yet beautifully considered entrance.
The client visited our Redhill studio looking to refresh their staircase with a carpet that would stand up to everyday use while complementing the traditional character of their home. Working closely with Matt, they explored a range of carpet samples, colours and edging options to find the perfect combination.
Drawing on over 40 years of flooring expertise, Matt recommended Cormar Carpets' Malabar in Rhino – a versatile neutral shade that would brighten the space while remaining practical for a busy entrance.
To complete the look, he suggested pairing it with a bold red tape edging, carefully chosen to tie in with the existing traditional coir mat. The result is a subtle but striking detail that gives the staircase a bespoke, tailored finish.
Once the design had been finalised, our experienced installation team managed the project from start to finish. Every stage, from measuring and preparation through to the precise fitting of the carpet and edging, was completed with the care and attention to detail we're known for.
